Water Tests

The tables below records the history of the water chemistry of the tank.

All regular tests shown are carried out using Hagen test kits, with KH and GH converted from the mg/l (PPM) given to °dH, using the formula mg/l × 0.056 = °dH.

CO² is calculated using the formula shown on Chuck’s Planted Aquarium Pages. Unless otherwise stated it is not measured manually – just as a relationship between pH and KH. It is also measured at its lowest point, i.e after the lights/CO² has been off for the longest period. Occasionally I will make CO² measurements at peak times, these will appear in the lower table.
